Beneath the Desert Sun: A Kickoff of Festival Fashion

All the desert-dwelling souls and free spirited wanderers flocked to Indio Valley the past two weekends to spend an incredible 72 hours brimming with live tunes, endless dancing, and good vibes. It was my first time experiencing this particular musical event, or any large-scale music festival for that matter, and I can say with confidence that it did not disappoint. Each sweltering day faded into a crisp desert night, but the exciting energy always remained, perpetually electrifying the air and connecting the thousands of people that swarmed the festival grounds.

I had my fair share of preconceived ideas on what the fashion would be like; these kinds of events, and this festival in particular, have always been known as a time where all the attendees let their creative energy and drive to be unique take hold of their wardrobe choices. This resulted in three days of not only live music, but a level of fashion inspiration unparalleled to anything else I have ever experienced. Everyone’s outfit ensembles were not only ideal for the festival atmosphere, but a wealth of inspiration to onlookers as the ultimate summer style.
