Winter is just around the corner, meaning we have to say goodbye to garden parties, barbecues and beer gardens for another year. With the colder months looking set to stay, more nights in are on the cards – whether by yourself, with your girly friends or perhaps with a loved one!

Whether you’re all loved up or out on the prowl, it’s always fun to glam up and get gorgeous. So this week, I thought I’d amp up the sex factor a tad and share with you how to achieve the perfect bedroom eyes.

GET THE PERFECT BOUDOIR EYES

LIDS

A sultry smokey eye is every girl’s weapon of mass seduction – a timeless, alluring look that suits all eye shapes and skin tones. I find a jet black smokey eye to sometimes be slightly too harsh, though, so prefer to employ warmer brown tones for a softer yet equally sizzling result.

The aptly titled Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Palette offers the perfect selection of silky neutral shades, from soft beiges and pinks to rich deep browns.

To craft your come-to-bed eyes, first sweep the dusky pink shade Birthday Suit all over the lid using a fluffy shadow brush. Follow by applying the chocolate brown shade Voulez-Vous into the socket line and over your top and bottom lash lines, blending well as you go.

Finally, take the deep brown shade French Tickler and dab it onto the outer corners of your eyes, winging the colour out for added va va voom.

To give your peepers even more of a smoulder, line them gently with a soft brown kohl pencil such as Clarins Crayon Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Intense Brown. Take the pencil halfway across your upper and lower lash lines for subtle, sexy definition.

LASHES

Full, flirty lashes are a crucial component in creating the perfect boudoir eyes. If you haven’t been blessed with naturally long, lustrous lashes, apply a coat of the Dior Maximiser Lash Primer before your mascara. This wonder serum instantly gives the illusion of longer and thicker lashes, and also provides an ideal base for your mascara to latch on to.

Next, apply generous lashings of a volumising mascara to both your upper and lower lashes. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is my go-to mascara for seductive eyes, offering phenomenal volume and intense jet-black colour in just a few coats. Its smudge-proof formula will mean it won’t budge all night, either!

BROWS

Lastly, to frame your carefully crafted bedroom eyes, add some definition to your brows. The Guerlain Eyebrow Kit includes a range of blendable and long-wearing brow colour powders, designed to adapt to all tones. Gently sweep the colour onto your brows with the applicator before sweeping the pearly beige highlighter over your brow bone for a seductive arched look.

And that’s it – killer eyes to mystify any man, made in a matter of minutes! You can get all the products I’ve recommended at online beauty boutique Escentual.com.

You may have heard that my 2015 calendar with Signature Calendars is now available to buy. We decided to give the calendar an intimate, boudoir-style vibe, with many of the images featuring me wearing my favourite lingerie by Bluebella.

I adore Bluebella’s lingerie as it provides the perfect blend of girly and sexy, with brilliant quality fabrics and on-trend designs at affordable prices. If you might have a sexy night in on the cards and are unsure on what to wear, I thought I’d offer up some sultry suggestions:

Bluebella Skylar Bra and Briefs

This gorgeous barely-there bra and brief set with cheeky ruffle detailing is perfect for a subtly sensual look. The feminine pale blue colour coupled with the sheer fabric makes for an erotic ensemble that’s sexy without looking over the top.

If, like me, you thought your Barbie days ended about the same time you stopped wearing pigtails and carrying your packed lunch in a glittery pink lunchbox, then think again.

Turns out Barbie is this season’s new style icon, and everyone from Rita Ora to Lily Allen and Katy Perry is channeling the plastic princess’ look.

Barbie looks1

Moschino's Barbie themed SS15 collection

Barbie’s style renaissance is all thanks to super-hip fashion designer Jeremy Scott, who designs for the Italian label Moschino. Scott dedicated the brand’s entire spring/summer 2015 collection to the pint-sized blonde bombshell. He filled the catwalk with figure-hugging looks in bubble-gum pink, created colourful “dolly” accessories and even reworked the Moschino logo in that familiar Barbie typeface.

I couldn’t resist joining in the fun, so this week I’ve created a sugar-sweet Barbie-inspired beauty look, with bold, baby-pink lips, and tons of sparkle and shimmer – just perfect for a fancy-dress party or a glam girly night out.

BINKY’S BARBIE BEAUTY

Step 1: Eyes

Once you’ve applied your preferred base, get straight onto the eyes. Begin by blending a soft nude shadow across your lids across my lids, to act as a base. I used Clarins Ombré Matte Eyeshadow in Nude Beige – the cream-to-powder formula of this eyeshadow means it's smooth to apply but is also incredibly long-lasting.

Next, add a dusting of sparkle using Too Faced Glamour Dust Glitter Pigment in Blue Angel. Glitters can be tricky and messy to work with, so to make things easier dab a small amount onto the back of your hand, then, using a fine eyeshadow brush, carefully dab the pigment over your eyelids to create glitzy sheen.  Apply a hint of glitter under the lower lash line too, for super-sparkly Barbie lashes.

Binky barbie 1

To give your eyes extra definition, line your upper and lower lash lines with Daniel Sandler Long Lasting Waterproof Eyeliner in Black Velvet. Finally, apply a few coats of Too Faced Lash Injection Mascara – perfect for those long, voluminous lashes that living dolls should have!

Barbie looks
Rita Ora and Paris Hilton rocking the Barbie look

Step 2: Cheeks

Barbie is famous for her gorgeous cheekbones, so add a touch of contour with bareMinerals Ready Bronzer in The Skinny Dip, dusted under the apples of your cheeks and across your temples.

Next up, for gorgeous shimmery cheekbones, you need to pack on the highlighter. I used Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighter, swirling the two shades in the compact together and blending the powder across the tops of my cheekbones for a gorgeously girly shimmer. Finally, for a really sparkly finish, dust a hint of the Too Faced glitter pigment over your cheekbones.

Binky barbie 2

Step 3: Lips

Key to this look is the bright baby-pink lip, as seen on the Moschino catwalk. Try Clarins Rouge Eclat Lipstick in Candy Rose – it is a strongly pigmented pastel pink shade which means the colour really lasts. Finally, to make your pout really pop, add a slick of bareMinerals Marvellous Moxie Lipgloss in the sugar-sweet baby-pink shade Miss Popular.

You can get all the products I used to create this Moschino-inspired look online at Escentual.com. Life in plastic, it’s fantastic!

On another fashion-related note, I’ve booked my ticket to Clothes Show Live at the Birmingham NEC in December. I’m really looking forward to getting a sneak peek into the new season’s top trends and of course indulging in a bit of retail therapy! If you’re a bit of a fashion fiend like myself, you can get tickets to the show here.

Stay beautiful,

Love Binky xxx

Every girl wants a gorgeously kissable plump pout, and whatever the size or shape of your lips, it’s easier to achieve than you think! Everyone's been talking about Kylie Jenner's full-lipped look recently, which she puts down to 'clever make-up'.

Kylie jenner
Kendall and Kylie Jenner

So this week I’ve enlisted the help of top make-up artist Buster Knight, who taught me a quick and easy way to fake fuller-looking lips, using a bit of cosmetic trickery. Here’s how we did it.

STEP 1 – Prep Your Pout

There’s no point having a plump pout if your lips are going to be dry and chapped. Keep your lips moisturised by using a good quality lip balm daily – my favourite is the French Pharmacy classic Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm. It offers intensive moisture, keeping lips looking smooth and feeling ultra-hydrated – not to mention its utterly delectable honey scent!

STEP 2 – Lined Lips

Firstly, take a lip pencil in a shade slightly warmer than your natural lip colour – I’ve gone for Clarins Lipliner Pencil in Bay Rose – and frame the outline of your lips to give them dimension and shape.

Take the pencil just outside your natural lip line to create a trick of shadow, making your lip shape appear fuller. Once you’re happy with the shape you’ve outlined, gently blend the pencil inwards into your lips with a small brush so the effect remains natural looking.

Focus the lipliner on the outer corners of your lips to ensure the centre of your pout looks as full as possible. Feel free to reinforce the line with another layer of pencil after blending until you achieve the desired fullness.

AOBPR-BINKY-211114-002

STEP 3 – Trick Of Light

Next, apply a very light pink-toned lip pencil – or a cream concealer such as bareMinerals Correcting Concealer in Light 1 – onto the central area of your upper and lower lips, making sure not to go over the lip line you’ve already applied. This sneaky trick creates the illusion of light and will make your pout look extra plump.

Similarly, adding a touch of pearlescent highlighter such as Too Faced Candlelight Softly Illuminating Translucent Powder to your Cupid’s bow will further accentuate your pout.

Lip products 1

STEP 4 – Add Lipstick

Lighter lip colours close to your natural lip shade tend to work better than darker hues when it comes to faking fuller lips – think peachy nudes, pinks and browns. Dior Rouge Dior Nude Lip Blush in Grege, Clarins Rouge Eclat Lipstick in Nude Rose and DHC Premium Lipstick in Petal Pink are three of my favourite lippy options for creating a plumped-up pout.

Using a small lip brush, apply your chosen lip colour onto the lips. Blend the light concealer in the centre outwards slightly – without totally covering it – so it merges seamlessly into your lips. This should result in a natural looking yet gorgeously voluptuous pout!

AOBPR-BINKY-211114-003

STEP 5 – Get Glossy

Finally, if you want to go all out, there’s no better product to add volume to the lips than a plumping gloss. Givenchy Gloss Interdit Ultra-Shiny Plumping Effect Lipgloss in Impertinent Nude provides the perfect shimmering veil to complement your plumper pout, imparting spectacular shine while instantly adding volume to the lips with its expert plumping formulation.

What’s more, it doesn’t leave your lips feeling sticky or gloopy like some glosses can – plus its fruity flavour will leave your pout feeling deliciously kissable as well as looking plumped-up to the max.

All the products used to create my plump pout this week are available at Escentual.com. You can really have fun with these tips, trying out different products, shades and textures for a wealth of lip looks. Remember though, make-up exists to enhance the natural beauty you already have – so don’t go overboard!

I am determined not to do my usual Christmas party trick of putting on nearly a stone during December. That doesn't mean living like a monk for the next four weeks but I am going to counter the effects of excessive booze and food calories by upping my work-outs with some High Intensity Training (HIT) home and gym sessions.

My No-Make-up beauty look1
Can You Guess Who The Hunky Guy In the Picture Is?

Clearly your appearance for home sessions is not a worry and you can go sans make-up for that, but at the gym a lot of women would think that’s not acceptable. And I'm one of them.

I know there will be some gym purists out there who will say it’s ridiculous to wear make-up for a work-out session – but with the possible exception of an all-female aerobics class or a sweat inducing bikram yoga session I would definitely opt for a subtle non-make-up, make up look.

For an hour’s open-plan gym session I would opt for some foundation cover, light eye make-up and a nude lip as you can see in the video below for MIC:FIT – Made In Chelsea’s fitness video which has been released this week.

The hour-long video has me doing torturous work-out sessions with me, Spencer Matthews, Oliver Proudlock and Lucy Watson. My prep for the work-outs is five minutes of stretches, 15 minutes of light base make-up prep (more of that later), and to take one or two Forza Raspberry K2 supplements for an energy boost in the mornings and help with fat burning.

No Make-up gym look close up
Light base, Some Mascara, Nude Lip, Ready For Action

As you can see in the footage I had opted for a light oil free foundation – Shiseido Pureness Mattifying Compact Oil-Free – this will breathe better with my skin when getting hot, and sweat won’t form underneath so it’s less likely to smear and won’t create break-outs or spots.

If you are going for particularly heavy cardio work then you may prefer to wear a tinted moisturiser or BB cream like Bioderma Sensibio AR BB Cream instead of foundation – but because my work-out session was under harsh studio lights (and I was being filmed!) I opted for foundation.

Also don’t forget that during summer months it’s good to wear a tinted sunblock for that run in the park to protect from the sun damage – I particularly like the Eucerin Tinted Sun Face Creme.

Binky Spencer and trainer group shot
You Never Know When You Might Bump Into A Hunky Guy

Clearly it’s best to go little and light on the whole look for the gym – you will look a tad ridiculous if you’ve put the full Saturday night war-paint on, but a bit of powder blush like Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush to give your cheeks some colour is acceptable – (don’t overdo it though as you are likely to get red cheeks from working out anyway).

Me running on spot 2
Run As Much As You Like But The Make-up Won't

In the MIC:FIT video I am also wearing Givenchy Noir Couture Waterproof 4 in 1 Mascara, and yes I admit it I’ve got fake lashes on. Clearly it’s not worth putting lashes on for the gym, but I had just had mine done professionally and there was no way I was taking them off.

In one of the other videos I had applied quite a heavy bit of contouring – but this was just for the cameras, as it'd be way too much for a regular gym work-out.

Making Smoothies with Spencer
Bit Too Much Contouring Here For the Gym - Making Smoothies with Spencer Matthews, Ollie Proudlock and Lucy Watson

I know there will be a hardcore clan of gym-bunnies out there who will think my gym make-up tips are bonkers, but most women are likely to concede that they would use a concealer to cover up the odd pimple or blemish – and Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cover Stick – is perfect for that, containing salicylic acid which will attack the bacteria that forms spots as well.

Me Post work-out1
Post Work-Out - The Make-Up Looked Better Than I Felt

Finally, whether you wear make-up in the gym or not, it is essential that you cleanse your skin thoroughly afterwards, as well as moisturise. Leaving sweat in your pores, especially under make-up, will cause break-outs. So if you do apply make-up for a gym session, using a multi-tasking cleanser like REN Rosa Centifolia Foaming Cleanser afterwards, which cleanses, tones and purifies the skin in one step. Follow up with a redness-reducing moisturiser such as La Roche-Posay Rosaliac UV Legere Fortifying Anti-Redness Moisturiser.

How amazing does that spring sunshine feel? The days are getting a little longer, the mornings brighter, and we're all starting to get our bounce back.

But be warned, it's still pretty chilly out there, which means pampering is super important. The twin evils of cold weather and central heating play havoc with hair and skin throughout the winter months, so your beauty routine needs to include plenty of hydrating, moisturising and protecting if you are to emerge beautiful and butterfly-like from the chrysalis of winter when warm days finally arrive.

So this week I'm focussing on TLC for hair and skin, with my pick of the best pampering products...

MY PAMPERING FAVOURITES

L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil: this is a delicious treat for first-thing in the morning. It lathers up in the shower, and its unique softening foam leaves your feeling deliciously supple, satin-smooth and scented with a gentle almond fragrance. Yummy!

Crabtree & Evelyn Evelyn Rose Body Cream: a pure beauty indulgence, massage in this luxuriously rich cream straight after a long, steamy bath and your skin will adore your for it. And the scent – wow! It’s a truly divine mix of rose petals, peach nectar, jasmine and bergamont.

Pamper products1

Argan Beauty is a scrummy new range of products containing argan oil. Rich in nutrients, fatty acids and vitamin E, this rich organic oil is renowned for healing and cosmetic properties, making it beneficial to hair and skin. From shampoo and conditioner, to hair serum and anti-ageing oil, I’m a huge fan.

Bumble & Bumble Prep: stop! Put down those tongs and that hair dryer! Next time you’re planning to heat your hair, make sure you spritz it with this nutritious pre-styling product first. It’s rich in nutrients yet oil-free, so it won’t weigh down your locks, and its formula makes the hair cuticle lie flatter, leaving your hair shinier and smoother than before.

IMG_5997

Schwarzkopf Osis Glamination Smooth Polish: winter-weary hair can become dry and fuzzy all too quickly, so a glossing serum is a real pick-me-up. Applied to damp or dry hair, this lightweight, silky formula with smooth and straighten, adding shine and polish to your do.

Michael Kors Shimmer Bath Beads: sometimes a girl just needs to close the bathroom door, shut the world out, and indulge herself with some serious pampering. These creamy, shimmering bath beads will definitely do the trick. Deliciously scented with orange flower, cassis and jasmine, they leave a light golden shimmer on your skin. Heaven!

IMG_5993

Narcisco Rodriquez For Her Hair Mist: I’m a big fan of layering my scent – wearing my favourite fragrance not just as a perfume, but as a cream, a body oil, even a deodorant. It enhances one scent rather than mixing up multiple smells. Hair fragrances are a hot new beauty trend, and this lightweight, non-oily formula leaves your locks silky smooth and perfumed with its signature delicate floral.

Dior Capture Totale Nurturing Hand Repair Cream: hands and nails often get over-looked but they are one of the first places to show signs of ageing, dryness and a run-down immune system. This rich, moisturising formula will soothe, nourish and hydrate, returning tired hands to their former glory!

Happy pampering!

I have been having a glorious week with filming and all things “Made in Chelsea”.

Since I’ve been involved with the show I’ve been lucky enough to have my makeup done by some of the best make-up artists in the industry.

I am so lucky as this is where I pick up all of the best tips and a being a beauty sponge I can’t get enough of those tricks. Now here I am to pass them onto you.

4 Finish-111

There’s one trend that everyone’s talking about at the moment and that’s ‘CONTOURING’. If you haven’t already heard, it’s a make-up artists secret where you use light and dark shades of make up to sculpt your face, making the most of your best features and disguising any flaws.

Kim Kardashian is a big fan and after seeing her working her contouring on Instagram I knew I had to give this new craze a try - after all she is the selfiequeen!

The big news is this insider secret is now available for beauty lovers like us through at home contouring kits.

In the last few months, I’ve really started to try some new things and I’ve started experimenting with my look. I tried a few products from different brands but they just weren’t right for me, no matter how much I tried I couldn’t get it right - it was time to call in my glorious makeup artist Mikey Phillips (@MAKEUPBYMIKEY) for some advice.

He suggested I take a look at a new brand he’d used on a photo-shoot recently, ICONIC LONDON - he was raving about their contour palettes so we set about giving it try and before I knew it I was getting an on the spot tutorial. The great thing about this product is it gives you a step by step guide on how to create perfect contouring at home.
I’m not going to lie, this probably is not an everyday look as it does take a bit of time, but for a night out or a special occasion, it’s well worth it. It will completely transform your face.

Binky edit for daily mail

These palettes can be pricey and cost anything from £45-£70 but the Iconic London one is only £32.99, and it does actually suit every complexion, I loved the look so much that it is now a permanent fixture in my make-up bag. You can purchase online at www.iconiclondoninc.com and also follow them on instagram @iconic.london for loads of contouring tutorials.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO CONTOURING

Here’s my step by step guide to contouring that would make even the queen of the selfie envious.

Binkyflowers

I may be thousands of miles away in Los Angeles filming for Made In Chelsea at the moment, but that does not mean I won’t be constantly checking my Mail Online app for all the outfits and trends at Glastonbury this weekend.

It is definitely my favourite festival for style and beauty trends and I think everyone makes an extra special effort at Glastonbury.

So for me, aside from the clothes, I think the braid is the only way to do festival hair. I use Easilocks hair extensions and I love them, but I must admit they certainly need some taming when it comes to a weekend without my trusty hairdryer and styling tools!

I never thought braids would suit me but I had this braid done recently for a photoshoot by my make up artist Mikey Phillips and now I can’t get enough of it. I have been rocking it out in LA too and I’m loving the look.

BINKYLoving the braids: The perfect festival hair

As well as being fuss free, braids are massively on trend right now. Ever since Kate Bosworth rocked out this amazing look at Coachella earlier this year, braiding has gone insane.

Everyone from Rita Ora and Rihanna to Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Emma Watson has been rocking out the braids and it’s no surprise that the braiding trend has been around before and is making a comeback from the 1990’s.

I think the influence of pop culture has also had a big impact on the braid trend this year especially with TV shows such as Game Of Thrones.

BinkyBraidback

Now there are pop up braid bars popping up and all over the country, They have become the new blow dry bars. One of my favourite is Hershesons Braid Bar, I use the one in the Oxford Street Top Shop. They have a few more bars across London and they offer braiding for £15. They offer fun styles for all ages some of my favourite looks are below.

'Keash Braids is another amazing new pop-up hair braiding salon that offers 12 signature braided styles. Prices range from £10-£30 and you can add glitter, non-permanent colour, kiss curls or hair rings and charms for a few extra quid, if you dare. Keash Braids is a true celebration of culture and tradition. I love the way they add the charms to make it a bit different.

I have been battling with my eyebrows for years, they drive me insane.

Many hours have been spent over the years tending to my uneven and sparse brows.  I have tried everything – waxing, threading, tinting and nothing ever lasts for more than a few weeks.

So then I gave up completely and just plucked and ended up filling them in daily with eyeshadows and brow pallets.  But I love the no make up look and am trying to go make-up free as often as I can right now in a bid to get better skin.

Brows are so important as they shape the face, I love full brows but not perfectly perfect brows.

So this week I took the plunge and went to visit ‘Queen of The Brow’ Tracie Giles to get… wait for it tattooed brows.

I had heard about permanent brows for a while and have always been a bit scared. The last thing I wanted was scary slug brows, also known as the ‘Scouse brow’.

But I couldn’t be happier with them - they’re ‘perfectly imperfect’ so when I am not wearing make up they don’t look false.

During my two-hour appointment, Tracie said permanent make-up is becoming increasingly popular so who am I to argue?

I arrived at Tracie’s plush salon in Kensington and Tracie sat with me and mapped out my perfect brow.

She made sure to take it in steps because she knew how nervous I was and started by drawing on with pencil how she thought they should look.

Tracie was so friendly and she made sure I was totally happy with what she was doing and we were totally on the same page when it came to the look.

Then she used a facial compass and measuring devices to make sure the arch was in exactly the right place so that it would suit my face.

Next came the horrible bit… the needle.

Using the latest digital technology, the 3D Brow Treatment ensures eyebrows are strengthened and defined with delicate strokes of mineral pigment infused into the epidermis of the skin. You can see the technique used in the photos, although the blonde girl is obviously not me!

I’m not going to lie, it did hurt at first, despite the numbing cream. They have to make deep insertions to ensure that the colour lasts as long as possible and it doesn’t come off through facial scrubs and creams.

Then more numbing cream goes on and the incisions are more like lighter scratches. Tracie also made sure the colour of my new brow matched my skin tone and hair colour.

Apparently good eyebrows are the ultimate in anti-ageing and can be like a facelift so I am now rocking these until I am 90!

The overall effect gives the face total symmetry and an added ‘boost’ with fantastic anti-ageing properties; rejuvenated brows ‘lift’ the face giving an overall more groomed finish.

It took about 2 hours from start to finish and is supposed to last between 9 and 18 months after which I will need a top up rather than a full redesign.

I have been wanting a new hair look for a little while now, but with Made In Chelsea filming I have to be careful not to change my appearance too much as producers like to make sure my look is consistent.

So, after filming in LA, we had a break these last few weeks and I took full advantage.

I have been admiring the balayage look for a while on celebs like Khloe Kardashian, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jessica Biel and decided to go for it.

Balayage has been around for a while but in the last few months, it has suddenly become really popular again and my hairdresser tells me that it is one of the most requested looks right now. Quite a few of the top models have been showcasing balayage on the catwalk and I personally love the natural finish it gives, rather than the uniform highlights that foils give.

I’m not normally fashion forward, so I feel impressed that I am actually on trend for once!

Balayage is a French word meaning to sweep or to paint. It is basically a sun-kissed natural looking hair colour - with softer, less noticeable regrowth lines.

It is also completely bespoke to every person and an expert would match the colours they use on your hair to suit your skin tone and it can really light up your features and change your face.

But I decided to ditch the bleach all together and just used Easilocks hair extensions to create the look. It is often created with highlights and lowlights, but I called in the hair piece expert to try it without using any colour at all.

My lovely hairdresser Shane O’Sullivan helped create my new hairdo. Shane is the founder of Easilocks hair extensions and has been doing my extensions for a little while now. Shane has been in the industry for years and was honoured by Vidal Sassoon as Colourist of the year at the age of just 18. So I feel in safe hands.

My natural hair is so short, as you can see in these pics, and although people keep telling me to keep it completely natural, I just love the feel that extensions give me, there is nothing better than lots of volume and lots of hair.

It’s a long process getting my locks put in but I feel bald without them now! The great thing about Easilocks is that there is no glue and no heat, Shane arrived at my house at around 11am and we were finally done by 5pm. It sounds like a hellishly long time, but I love being pampered.

Shane told me: "We used frosted caramel and chocolate latte, it's a warm honey toned balyage blend using hair extensions alone with out the use of chemically processing the hair meaning it's healthier for Binky's natural hair.

"We chose this option as the colours beautifully compliment Binky's sallow complexion."

So, here it is - my new look.

Let me know what you think, I welcome your thoughts as always.
